DEWALT DCCS690M1 XR Brushless Chainsaw
The Dewalt DCCS690M1 XR is a battery-powered saw that is capable of limbing and bucking medium sized trees and performing a variety of similar tasks with the best of them. With its variable chain speed and 16 inch bar, performing most jobs on a large property can be done with relative ease.
Because this is a battery-powered model, you don’t have to worry about messy and time-consuming re-fueling. The brushless engine means you’ll get a longer charge out of the chainsaw’s 40 volt, 4 amp hour, lithium ion battery. Plus, similar to BLACK+DECKER’s battery-powered model, if you already have 40 volt batteries for other Dewalt branded tools, then you can easily swap those into the DCCS690M1.
The Dewalt model’s trigger operates intuitively: You press the trigger and the saw starts; you release it and the saw stops. Even more helpful, the trigger is pressure sensitive and varies chain speeds depending on pressure. The quick stop trigger feature pairs with a chain brake designed for kick back protection to make this saw easy to operate safely.
Auto oiling for the DCCS690M1 is handled by Dewalt’s Lubrilink and Lubriwel system, so filling the saw’s oil reservoir is a simple task. Tool-free chain tensioning and a bar tightening knob makes clamping the bar into the machine relatively easy as well, without having to bring more tools to the table.
